The Building Material Cost Index (BCI) (without steel bars and with steel bars) for all building categories in all regions showed increases in December 2015 as compared to the previous month.

The unit price index of building materials that showed changes in December 2015 as compared to the previous month are as follows:

Sabah

The Building Material Cost Index (BCI) (without steel bars and with steel bars) for some building categories in Sandakan showed decreases in December 2015 compared to November 2015.  Meanwhile, the BCI in Kota Kinabalu and Tawau stated no change as compared to the previous month. 

Changes in unit price index for building materials by region in Sabah are as follows:

Sarawak

The Building Material Cost Index (BCI) (without steel bars) for some building categories in Kuching stated no change except for 5 storey and above (R.C.) building (for office) and single storey steel frame (building) which showed decreases of 0.1 per cent respectively.

Meanwhile, the BCI (with steel bars) for almost all building categories in Kuching and Sibu showed decreases in December 2015 compared to November 2015. The BCI (with steel bars and without steel bars) in Miri stated no change as compared to the previous month.
