Policy on Quality
The Department of Statistics Malaysia is committed to provide data and statistical services which are user oriented, timely and of quality.
This is to be achieved by the use of up-to-date and relevant statistical techniques and technology and by continuously improving the knowledge and skill of the Department's staff at various levels.
Client's Charter
DOSM is committed to provide statistical services that are timely, reliable and of integrity by:
- Ensuring the statistics are disseminated and available for on-line access simultaneously as specified in the Advanced Release Calendar - ARC.
- Ensuring the eStatistik facility is accessible 24 hours daily.
- Ensuring data requests are prepared within the specified time frame subject to data availability and complexity of the requests;
- Published data as in the publications and portal will be prepared within 1 to 2 working days;
- Unpublished data that has to be extracted and tabulated will be prepared within 3 to 5 working days;
- Data that requires calculation, compilation and processing will be prepared within 2 to 10 days; or
- Complex data will be prepared within the period not exceeding 30 working days.
DOSM is always attentive to the relationship with its customers in delivering statistical services and ensure that:
- For counter services, customer will be served within 10 minutes of arrival; and
- Enquiry, feedback and complaint received will be attended to within 7 working days.
