Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease that can cause respiratory illness (like the flu) with symptoms such as a cough,
fever, and in more severe cases, difficulty breathing. This landing pages was developed by DOSM as an initiative to inform the public about the status of
COVID-19 outbreak in Malaysia.

Current Statistics: COVID-19 by States in Malaysia is based on official data from the Ministry of Health Malaysia
and media agencies. All the contents are handpicked, filtered, and curated to the best extent to ensure that sources of
information for the public to get real-time updates on the virus’s reach and impact. The statistics are presented using
an interactive visualisation or infographic to help the public to grasp the information.
