Performance Review – Indices (November 2020)
Without steel bars:
As compared to the previous month, the BCI in Peninsular Malaysia for region C (Selangor, W.P. Kuala Lumpur, Melaka & Negeri Sembilan), E (Pahang) and F (Terengganu & Kelantan) increased 0.1 per cent for almost all categories of building. The BCI in region A (Pulau Pinang, Kedah & Perlis) decreased 0.1 per cent for 2-4 Storey (R.C.) Building (Flat Roof) only. Meanwhile, the BCI in region D (Johor) also decreased 0.1 per cent for almost all building categories. The BCI in region B (Perak) remained unchanged as in the previous month.
The BCI in Kota Kinabalu decreased 0.1 per cent for almost all categories of building. However, the BCI increased 0.2 per cent for Single Storey Steel Frame (Building) and 0.4 per cent for Single Storey Steel Frame (Tower only).
The BCI in Kuching increased 0.1 per cent for 2-4 Storey (R.C.) Building (Pitched Roof) and in Miri for Single Storey (R.C.) Building & Single Storey Steel Frame (Building) only. The BCI in Sibu remained unchanged as in the previous month.

The BCI in Peninsular Malaysia increased 0.1 per cent for (R.C.) Piling in region C (Selangor, W.P. Kuala Lumpur, Melaka & Negeri Sembilan), 2-4 Storey (R.C.) Building (Pitched Roof) & 5 Storey and Above (R.C.) Building (For Accommodation) in region E (Pahang) and Single Storey (R.C.) Building in region F (Terengganu & Kelantan). The BCI in region D (Johor) decreased 0.1 per cent for (R.C.) Piling only. Meanwhile, the BCI in region A (Pulau Pinang, Kedah & Perlis) and B (Perak) remained unchanged as in the previous month.

Changes in Unit Price Indices (November 2020)
The changes in unit price indices of building materials by region throughout Malaysia are shown in Table 1.
