Overview

 

"Revival of economic activities spurred favourable performance in the fourth quarter of 2021 with Gross Domestic Product rebounded 3.6 per cent and set the path for recovery in 2022"

MESR Volume 2/2022  focuses on the recent statistics released in December 2021 and some forthcoming statistics for January 2022. There are also highlights on Malaysia’s economic situation in the fourth quarter and  the annual performance of 2021. Furthermore, this edition is complemented with a box article entitled “Electricity Consumption in the COVID-19 Era”, which discussed the trends and changes in electricity consumption before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This MESR will assist users to have the latest information on the economic performance in detail.
