relationship to head of household

Any members who was regarded as head by the respondent at the time of census enumeration, was considered the head of household. Besides the head, each household member identified his/her relationship to the household head according to 11 categories, as follows:


i. Spouse of head;
ii. Unmarried child of head;
iii. Married child of head;
iv. Son-in-law/daughter-in-law;
v. Grandchild of head;
vi. Father/mother of head or spouse of head;
vii. Grandfather/grandmother of head or spouse of head;
viii. Brother/sister of head or spouse of head;
ix. Other members related to head or spouse of head;
x. Housemaid; and
xi. Others who are not related to head or spouse of head.

religion

Refers to the identification or relationship of an individual to a system of beliefs and the practice of these beliefs. For the purpose of tabulation and analysis, the classification for religion is as follows;

  1. Islam;
  2. Christianity;
  3. Buddhism;
  4. Hinduism;
  5. Confucianism, Taoism and Tribal/folk/ other tradisional Chinese religion;
  6. Other religion including Sikhism and Bahai;
  7. No religion; and
  8. Unknown

Remuneration in kind occurs when an employee accepts payment in the form of goods and services instead of money.
