KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Building Material Cost Index (BCI) (without steel bars & with steel bars) for almost all building categories in Peninsular Malaysia increased between 0.1 and 3.2 per cent.

  • The BCI in Sabah also showed an increase between 0.1 and 3.2 per cent for almost all building categories.

  • The BCI in Kuching and Miri showed an increase between 0.1 and 2.0 per cent for almost all categories of building. Meanwhile, the BCI in Sibu remained unchanged as in the previous month.

Producer Price Index Malaysia April 2021

Producer Price Index (PPI) of local production climbed 10.6 per cent in April 2021, 3.9 points higher than 6.7 per cent recorded last month.
