rattan plantation
Description

One of the main non-timber forest products. The plantation is to increase the stock of this plant in the PRF appropriate to ensure sustainable production of these resources to meet the needs of the local rattan furniture industry.

re-exports
Description

Goods are regarded as re-exports when they are taken out of the country in the same form as they were imported without any transformation. Re-packing, sorting or grading processes are not considered as part of the transformation process.

real estate services
Description

This definition of real estate services adopted in this publication is based on the recommendations of the Malaysia Standard Industrial Classification 2008 Ver 1.0. The definition are based on the following principles:

Real estate services with own or leased property refers to the activities of buying, selling, renting and operating of self-owned or leased real estate; provision of homes and furnished or unfurnished flats or apartments for more permanent use, typically on a monthly or annual basis; development of building projects for own operation; renting of space in the buildings; subdividing real estate into lots, without land improvement and operation of residental mobile home sites.

real gross domestic income (real gdi)
Description
Real gross domestic income (real GDI) measures the purchasing power of the total incomes generated by domestic production (including the impact on those incomes of changes in the terms of trade).

real holding gain
Description
A real holding gain is the value of the additional command over real resources  accruing to the holder of an asset as a result of a change in its price relatively to the prices of goods and services in general in the economy.

Real Income
Description
Real income is obtained by deflating any income flow by a price index in order to measure the purchasing power of the item in question over a designated numeraire set of goods and services.

real interest
Description

Real interest is the difference between an actual payment of nominal interest and a payment equal to the loss of purchasing power on the monetary value of the principal during the accounting period.

red tide
Description
Proliferation of marine plankton that is toxic and often fatal to fish.  This natural phenomenon is stimulated by phosphorus and other nutrients that are discharged into waterways by human beings.  The colour of the tide can be red, yellow, green or brown. The red tide is caused by the increase in the population of toxic species of plankton, making shelfish which eat them poisonous to humans.

reference period
Description

The reference period of the census was the calender year 2010.Establishment whose accounting year differed from the calender year were requested to report according to the accounting or financial year covering the major part of the reference period.

reference rate of interest
Description

The reference rate of interest (to be used in allocating FISIM) is the pure cost of borrowing funds (i.e. a rate from which the risk premium has been eliminated to the greatest extent possible and which does not include any intermediation services).
